Grosvenor House Dubai is one of the most desirable addresses in the world – and it is official.

The fully-furnished apartment suites have been named the World’s Leading Hotel Serviced Apartments at the World Travel Awards.
A record number of travel professionals – more than 170,000 – voted for this year’s awards, which is the traditional curtain-raiser to World Travel Market, held in London last month. The achievement is compounded by the fact that the property – both hotel and apartments – has only been open since June.
The 205 luxury apartment suites of Grosvenor House were recognised for their seamless service and elegant surroundings at Dubai Marina, in the hub of new Dubai. In addition, voters recognised the fact that residents have access to the facilities at Grosvenor House hotel, including the newly-opened Retreat health and spa and 13 signature restaurants, including Buddha Bar.
The growing need for upscale serviced hotel apartments was identified before ground broke on the project in 2003, according to general manager Pam Wilby. Wilby, who is also GM of Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa, was named General Manager of the Year in the JC Mclean Hotelier Awards 2005.
“There are currently more than 100 buildings in Dubai that offer hotel apartments, and this number is predicted to grow in line with the visitor numbers, which are currently rising at around 15 per cent year on year,” she said. “While the number of units in the market is more than 7,000, we believed that the gap is providing furnished apartments, with the exceptional service delivery of a property like Grosvenor House, and top-class facilities that unite to create an urban retreat in new Dubai. “When we opened in June, we tipped Grosvenor House’s ‘exclusive lifestyle and exclusive address’ as one that had the potential to become as synonymous with style as Rue Faubourg in Paris, Park Lane in London and Fifth Avenue in New York. This is the first step to achieving that.”
The apartment suites are available for a combination of long lease and short lease, and according to Wilby, this has proved to be a key selling point for UAE residents and visitors alike. She said: “These are the first furnished apartment suites to be available to lease on the Dubai Marina – the neighbouring developments are buy-to-own – and our guests enjoy the same service, décor and facilities in the apartments which is experienced in the hotel.”All 205 apartment suites have 24 hour butler and room service, as well as ‘sign and dine’ facilities across the 13 restaurants and bars at Grosvenor House and the 14 outlets of Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa Dubai. “The facilities are second-to-none, and while the apartment suites will have the added privacy of a separate entrance, residents will be able to access all the conference facilities and public areas of the hotel at the push of a lift button,” added Wilby.
