Kaiser ... upbeat

Along with steering Mövenpick Hotel Bahrain through its final phase of opening the much-awaited Grand ballroom, Jan Kaiser, the new general manager of the hotel, will also be responsible to flag off the extension project of the highly successful two-year-old property.

Kaiser replaces Frank Reichenbach, who moves on to Turkey as general manager of the Mövenpick Hotel Istanbul.
An alumnus of the reputed Hotel Management School in Groningen (Holland) Kaiser, a Dutch national, has gained considerable experience through his postings in Switzerland, China, Egypt and the Czech Republic. Having started his career in Switzerland, he is well aware of the high standards of Swiss accuracy, and is all set to offer true Swiss hospitality in a picturesque Arabian setting.
With sound background in food and beverage, he plans to offer a fine variety of food and beverage activities. “I’d like to offer something unique to Bahrain’s ardent food-loving community,” he said. “I am a strong advocate of offering a high quality of service. It is only through a well trained and motivated workforce can we ensure an excellent service for our guests. With this goal in mind, I wish to channelise my energies and those of my team members in the right direction.”
He added: “Taking over as GM of a brand as renowned as the legendary Movenpick, is always a great challenge. However, my tenure could not have begun at a more opportune time as the Kingdom is making giant strides both in business and leisure tourism.”
In an attempt to meet the growing demand, Mövenpick has plans to add more rooms to the 106-room property and Kaiser is eager to spearhead plans for this proposed 90-room extension that will be launched in the near future.
