Egypt’s Minister of Information Anas El Fiky had chosen Sheraton Heliopolis Hotel, Towers & Casino to host an exquisite dinner at the Lotus ballroom.

A different ball game
Real Madrid football legends Ferenc Puskás, Alfredo Di Stéfano, Santamaria and Amancio teamed up with their latter-day counterparts including David Beckham, Roberto Carlos, Zidane, Raúl and Ronaldo at the equally legendary Corinthia Grand Hotel Royal in Budapest, Hungary. The past and present stars were in Budapest for a celebrated football match between today’s Real Madrid team and a Hungarian ‘All Stars’ Ferenc Puskás side. Keeping the house in order
The housekeeping team at the JW Marriott Hotel Dubai celebrated International Housekeepers Week in style last month. The week was initiated by the International Executive Housekeepers Association and recognises housekeepers all over the world. Led by Claire Reynard, the 120-strong associate housekeeping team at the hotel participated in various activities including a two-day Housekeeping Olympics. The teams of professional room attendants, public area attendants, housemen and laundry attendants wielded their cleaning weapons for an afternoon of fun events.
Black Eyed Peas rock Al Murooj Rotana
The soft opening of Al Murooj Rotana Hotel, which took place on September 1, marked the long-awaited completion of the property. Hussein Hachem, the general manager of the newly-opened hotel was delighted to welcome the first guests to the hotel: the world-famous Black Eyed Peas group, which also opened the “celebrity” page in Al Murooj Rotana Hotel’s history.
