Record occupancy at Le Meridien Al Aqah

Le Meridien Al Aqah has achieved record occupancy figures for the first half of the year 2005 with the average occupancy standing at 86 per cent, an eight per cent increase over the same period last year.

Furthermore, the hotel has registered a double-digit growth rate in the total turnover during this period as compared to 2004.
Making this significant announcement, Patrick Antaki, general manager, Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort, said, “Our recently-introduced summer package of Dh222 per person has seen a tremendous response, further fuelling customer demand and resulting in a marked rise in weekday occupancy. For Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach, the summer looks bright and cheerful with an expected growth of 15 per cent in the occupancy levels by the end of September 2005.
“The emirate of Fujairah has been witnessing growth in the real estate and economic development sectors adding quality and class to the emirate. With new roads, environmental projects and an international certification of Fujairah’s airport, there is definitely a boom in the tourism industry and we are confident that under this positive influence, our business will rise by leaps and bounds.”
