Starwood Hotels & Resorts has launched a unique new service for Meeting and Conference delegates – StarMeeting Concierge.
At each meeting, the hotels now provide a meeting concierge assigned to a Meeting Organiser as a permanent point of contact, on hand to welcome delegates, explain how the technology works, anticipate needs and respond quickly to any requests for assistance, ensuring the best service.
Meetings areas in hotels have a visible desk for the StarMeeting Concierge and Meeting Planners are handed a business card with the photo of their concierge so they can recognise them by sight, in an area where several meeting groups may be. The service is offered at no additional cost to the customer.
The StarMeeting Concierges in the EAME hotels are existing members of the banqueting or events teams, and this new function as part of their remit allows more interaction with the customers and identifies where processes can be improved and where there is potential for a new service as part of Starwood’s meetings product.
“The StarMeeting Concierges, which will be implemented in many Starwood hotels in the region including Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Doha, Amman, Kuwait, Dubai and Egypt, will create an additional competitive advantage for our hotels ; and will certainly contribute to expanding our market share from this lucrative segment,” says Jirayr Kececian, director of sales and marketing for Starwood Hotels in Africa and Middle East .
“Through this new service, where a meeting organizer gets given a personalized business card from their allocated StarMeeting Concierge, we expect positive feedback. Such a simple concept will have a huge impact on our customer satisfaction”, adds Kececian.
StarMeetings Concierges are available across all Starwood’s hotel brands.
