Aviation World ME takes off to new heights

Adel Ali, CEO Air Arabia, at Aviation Middle East

Aviation World Middle East was where the Middle East’s airlines met.

The only regional event of its kind, it brought together both passenger and cargo operators, investors, entrepreneurs and suppliers. “In a time of fundamental change, Aviation World Middle East provided the perfect opportunity for the region’s aviation leaders to exchange views and ideas on how the industry can shape its business practices for the future.” said Danny Featherstone, project manager, Aviation World Middle East.
When asked why the region needed such a high profile event, he said “Let’s start by looking at the region. Growth has been extraordinary.  Passenger traffic has increase by 44 per cent over the last year and cargo performance has increased by 38 per cent. Airbus and Boeing state that the Middle East and African carriers will buy over 620 new aircraft between now and 2018. That is more than $63 billion worth of business, with regional governments investing $7.7 billion into aviation infrastructure. This is a market opportunity that nobody in the aviation industry can afford to miss!”
The conference was attended by senior representatives from across the region’s airlines and provided an in-depth coverage of all the major issues by those making it happen. It was an opportunity to learn from the success and failures of others. Airline leaders said Aviation World was an ideal platform for them to learn how to create an outstanding business.
“Our vision is to be the industry standard event for the Middle East airline industry, where participants share ideas and form relationships,” said Danny Featherstone.
So, if your business is aviation business, you simply have to be at Aviation World Middle East 2006!
