Hotel exterior ... stunning

InterContinental Hotels Group has further expanded its portfolio of stunning properties in the region with the opening of the lavish, luxurious and larger-than-life InterContinental Citystars Cairo.

Located at the heart of Cairo’s largest retail and leisure complex – Citystars Heliopolis – the new hotel has quickly emerged as the city’s most popular destination for tourist groups, corporate travellers and conference delegates.
The 700-plus room hotel has predictably attracted strong interest because of its prime location at the heart of the 115,000 sq m Citystars Heliopolis complex. As the largest mixed-use urban development in the Middle East, the $265 million Citystars Heliopolis is larger than any project of its kind in Europe. With the InterContinental Citystars Cairo hotel set in the amazing complex, guests are provided with instant access to the 12th largest shopping centre in the world – with 470 retail outlets, an entertainment centre, cinemas, bowling alley and the only indoor roller coaster in the Middle East. ““It is the most ambitious project of its kind that the region has ever seen and InterContinental Hotels Group is proud to be a part of it,” said Denis Johnson, vice-president, sales and marketing, InterContinental Hotels Group.
With an emphasis on providing the ultimate in service, InterContinental Citystars Cairo caters for all tastes of accommodation with 790 Superior and Club InterContinental rooms, suites, garden wing, poolside rooms, apartments and studios. “Guests can relax in the rooms and enjoy views of the gardens and pool or the city,” said Thierry Paul Just Perrot, general manager, InterContinental Heliopolis Cairo.
For guests looking for the ultimate in luxury, the Luxor Suite is the room to choose. As the hotel’s largest and most luxurious suite, it is located on the top floor of the hotel and offers spectacular views of the gardens, pool area and the bustling Heliopolis City Centre. ”
To attract the interest of wedding parties, the hotel even offers two elegant bridal suites, which are located near the banquet rooms to provide private and direct access to the wedding venues. “While the bride is getting ready, she will be able to enjoy the benefits of the bridal suite and be involved in her wedding preparations at the same time,” said Perrot. Additionally, the hotel offers 19 versatile function rooms including Al Saraya, the largest hotel banquet hall in Cairo, with a maximum capacity of 2,200 persons in a reception setting.
The hotel has invested in fine dining options including a Japanese tepanyaki restaurant, fish market-style restaurant, Mediterranean fine dining, Lebanese restaurant, coffee shop, cocktail lounge and various entertainment venues, together with 24-hour room service. Guests have also been enjoying the delights on offer at the 3,000 sq m Lifestyle Aqua Spa and Wellness Centre, as well as the squash and tennis courts, a large outdoor swimming pool and children’s pool.
