OUR policy is to make sure our guests feel they are being taken care of at all times during their stay in the hotel,” said Ghassan Nakad, general manager of Khalidia Hotel Apartments in Dubai.
The property is strategically located on Al Maktoum Road in the heart of the city. It’s an area that is a 10-minute drive from most places in Dubai. You can also walk your way through shopping malls and business districts that are positioned all around it.
Khalidia Hotel Apartments has 42 impressive apartments comprising two and three spacious bedroom residences. Each apartment comes with its own balcony, its living area where the customer can soothe on the individual television set, or strap a movie in the DVD player or call friends and family abroad on the IDD telephone. The dinning area for eight persons is complimented with a fully-equipped kitchen.
“Our apartments are witnessing more than 90 per cent occupancy rate, and this is due to the home-like feeling we provide our guests with,” said Nakad. Once in the apartment, guests will feel relaxed with high quality furniture set in each room. Every single room is equipped with its own bathroom that is fitted with phones, hair dryers, magnifying mirrors, shaver sockets and speakers that could be used to relax to a music tune or listen to the latest news. Customers have a choice between a twin bedroom and a king-sized one.
International and oriental dishes are served in the renowned La Palma Restaurant which also features a wonderful and lavish buffet on a daily basis. Its most famous specialty would have to be its charcoal grills in addition to its a la carte menus. A recent extension to the restaurant especially made to serve true Italian pizza has proven to be successful. All this comes with a nice touch of live music during the evening supplied by a designated piano player.
But the good times don’t end here. There is also a La Palma tent, designed to give guests a feel of a true Arabian “chill out”. It provides refreshing beverages, halabi grills and a large selection of hubbly bubbly “shishas”. What’s more, the ladies can enjoy special attention twice a week – Fridays and Tuesdays – quite simply because it’s their night. “Our restaurants and tents are very successful as could be seen by the continuous inflow of visitors,” added Nakad.
In addition, the hotel also undertakes outdoor catering for any occasion regardless of whether it is a private party, a dinner conference, a birthday, a buffet, a set menu for lunch and even weddings – both small and large. There are several other facilities that complement the comfort and convenience of customers, these include a 24-hour room service, a health club, where guests can chill in the sauna, keep in shape in the gym or get a tan in the outdoor pool, there is also same day laundry and a dry cleaning service, covered car parking space, business centre with internet services, a gift shop, car rental, airport meet and assist, and a cruise and safari offer. Clearly, Khalidia is a fun place to be.
