After Rotana Hotels expanded their corporate head office facilities with the opening of their corporate sales and marketing offices in Abu Dhabi, Daniel Hajar, vice-president, sales and marketing, charted out the company’s aggressive expansion plans for the coming years and announced the new directors in the head office.
The new team, which will assist and be part of Rotana’s aggressive expansion plans within the Middle East, comprises Dominic Carr, director of front office operations, Mona Faraj, director of sales and e-distribution, Karl Lupson, new loyalty and partnership programmes director, Amal Harb, director of marketing and communications, and Guillaume Caillol, revenue manager.
Carr has a long career path with Rotana having joined Rotana Hotels in 1997. Faraj, who also joined Rotana Hotels in 1997, was most recently holding the position of director of business development in the head office.
Lupson, who worked at Hospitality Marketing Consultants before moving to the Middle East and launching the company’s regional marketing operations in Bahrain, will build and launch Rotana’s new loyalty programme. Harb, who joined Rotana Hotels in early 2000 and has enjoyed four successful years based at the Beach Rotana Hotel & Towers as marketing and communications manager was given added responsibility for the marketing activities of the other Rotana properties in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain a year ago. In her new role, she will focusing on brand awareness and recognition for Rotana Hotels as well as assisting in the openings of a number of major properties. As for Caillol he was working for Accor before moving to Rotana Hotels in February this year.
