1st international convention of Hajj and Umrah services announced

The First International Convention of Hajj and Umrah Services Market, under the patronage of HRH Prince Abdulmajeed Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of Makkah region, and supported by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will be held from April 16-19, in Jeddah, KSA, at the Hilton Hotel.

The initial announcement was presented by Yaser Al Khooli, chairman of the Council for Hospitality and Sponsors and Member of the Board of Jeddah Marketing Board and Osama A. Elkhereiji, president of Anedtrain, organiser of the Hajj & Umrah event). Al Khooli said the event plays a vital role because it is about the Hajj and Umrah and he asked everyone to make it a success for everyone’s benefit. At the end of the meeting, Elkhereiji thanked the JCCI (Jeddah Chamber of Commerce) for its support to the event and mentioned that a major media campaign will soon be initiated.
The convention promises to be a unique rendezvous of international and local Hajj and Umrah service providers and their activities under one roof. The convention aims to enhance sector performance creating an influx of opportunities in the Hajj and Umrah services market and to create a proliferated interaction platform through exhibitions and workshops for local and international institutions and business in the respected field.
The goal of the convention includes but is not limited to the following: to simplify flow of business and bringing all Hajj & Umrah service providers (and related under one roof for enhanced quality and effectiveness; provide a platform for networking between companies and institutions in the Hajj & Umrah services market; to create a meeting location for companies to promote their programmes, products, and services; and to initiate developing and unifying professional code among the Hajj & Umrah Service providers.
