ALL FOR CULTURE!
Radisson SAS Resort, Sharjah, has been given a cultural award for its efforts to promote the emirate’s culture and traditions.

The award, from Sharjah’s Department of Culture and Information, was presented to Guy Chidiac, the hotel’s GM, by HH Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, member of the UAE’s Supreme Council and the Ruler of Sharjah

HOST WITH THE MOST
The management teams of Sheraton Bahrain and African & Eastern hosted an exclusive Christmas event for top corporate clients and partners. Named ‘Year-End Chefs Table’, the VIP reception and dinner was attended by all participants of the regular Chefs Table functions throughout 2004. Seen here are the teams of Sheraton Bahrain Hotel & Towers and African & Eastern and many of Bahrain’s business elite and distinguished guests

TALKING HEADS
Mövenpick Cairo, Heliopolis, hosted a meeting of GMs of Mövenpick Egypt which was attended by more than 12 GMs in addition to the Middle East area team, including Hubert Klemenz, director of operations, Egypt, Toufic Tamim, area director of sales and marketing, Alaa Mansour, area finance director, Sarwat Ibrahim, area technical services director, Silvio Bianchi, area F&B director, Nabil Samuel, area training manager, Dina Awadin, regional director of sales. The meeting was headed by Andreas Mattmuller, senior VP of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts Middle East

THE THAI THING
The lucky winner of the Thai Food & Cultural Festival competition, which was held at the Mövenpick Hotel Bur Dubai, received the prize at the hotel’s Roof Top Terrace. He bagged a round-trip ticket from Dubai to Bangkok with Thai Airways including airport transfer and three nights stay

HIGH SPIRITS
The annual arrival of the Beaujolais Nouveau in Amman was anticipated by wine lovers who attended a marvelous reception held at the Méridien Hotel. Sponsored by Air France and Le Méridien, this event turned out to be a huge success as around 1,000 invitees admired the bright cherry red robe of the Beaujolais Nouveau where cheeses and cold cuts were flown all the way from France to compliment the fruity flavor of the wine.

Gerhard Foltin, GM of Sheraton Doha Hotel & Resort, and famous Indian Grand Master Chef Imtiaz Qureshi, with Indian cooks of hotels and especially invited chefs from Germany during am Indian fashion show. The annual charity dinner was held under the patronage and presence of HH Sheikha Mozah Nasser Al Misnad, the Qatar Foundation chairperson, and the master chef’s unique dishes were served to VIP invitees
