The Dh55 million ($14.9 million) refurbishment of Jebel Ali Hotel and Golf Resort in Dubai is now complete.
The main hotel building has undergone a full-scale refurbishment of its 262-guest rooms and public areas last summer, resulting in "a bright new look and modern ambience", according to the hotel's general manager Mohamed S Geziry.
The completion of 24 new upscale deluxe seafront rooms and suites brings the total number of rooms and suites to 406, sufficient to accommodate the onslaught of avid sun-seekers from around the world.
"With its newly expanded capacity and comprehensive array of sports and leisure facilities, the Jebel Ali Hotel & Golf Resort is poised to become one of the Gulf region's premier resorts," said Geziry.
The 128-acre property offers extensive recreation facilities, including a 9-hole 36-par golf course landscaped to championship standards around a central lake, floodlit practice greens and driving range, an 800-metre private beach, and international standards of service and hospitality.
"While we have always been a popular option for overseas holidaymakers - where 60 per cent of our guests are repeat visitors - increasingly residents from the region are choosing to holiday at the Jebel Ali Hotel & Golf Resort," said Geziry.
There are eight gourmet restaurants ranging from international fine dining, Italian and Oriental to a seafood market and delicatessen, plus weekly Arabic barbecues complete with music, dancers, henna, sheesha and camel rides.
Guests can also enjoy a choice of sports and leisure options such as tennis, squash, badminton, and billiards, a gym, sauna, jacuzzi, massage, bicycle rides, horse and camel riding, and even croquet.
As well as the refurbished standard rooms in the main building, Jebel Ali Hotel & Golf Resort also offers top of the line accommodation standards with its Royal Peacock rooms and the Royal Jasmine rooms in the Palm Tree Court, complete with meet an greet service at the airport and dedicated lounge and butler service, in addition to many other special amenities.
