A guest room at the new Le Meridien Tower in Kuwait ... designed to impress

LE Meridien’s innovative Art+Tech designs have made their debut at Le Meridien Tower, Kuwait’s newest hotel, and guests can expect a room with a difference according to Hannes Yaghi, country manager of the upscale hotel group in Kuwait.

He said: “Designed to focus on those parts of a hotel that are of most importance to the guest, Art+Tech features include a specially-designed bed complete with the finest linens, a modern bathroom look with multi-jet power shower, plus a wide-screen LCD plasma television. And, of most importance to our business guests on the move, every room has wireless high-speed internet access making international communications available at the touch of a button.”
The 70-room boutique hotel has become a showcase for the Art+Tech concept with elements of the uncluttered design extended to public areas including the restaurant and meeting rooms, providing a contemporary environment throughout the property while emphasising all functions of service demanded by the frequent traveller.
“This is a revolution in hotel terms, and one that will give our customers in Kuwait a real choice in terms of their accommodation requirements,” said Yaghi. “Simply put, there is nothing similar in the market, but we are convinced that the design concept will be an instant success – as it has in other markets worldwide.”
He added: “Le Meridien is unique in launching Art+Tech as the hotel of the future showcasing the latest in design and technology developments. But, we have not forgotten our location and will incorporate regional artworks and cultural touches that will reassure the visitor of where they are.” In addition, the hotel features wireless access throughout; a stylish open-kitchen restaurant; pool and health club; a dedicated guest service manager on each floor of the hotel, and complimentary airport transfers.
Yaghi commented:  “Le Meridien’s Art+Tech design concept is still being rolled out in cities around the world and we are delighted that Kuwait has been chosen as the location of the first of these properties in the Gulf region. No doubt many visitors will come just to see what all the fuss is about, but we know they will return again and again to enjoy the finest traditions of the hotel of tomorrow – good design, exemplary service and technology at their fingertips.”
