INDIAN Airlines has announced Apex (Advance Purchase Excursion) fares for the forthcoming winter holiday travel to India.
Apex fares offer discounts up to Dh250 per ticket on return fare over the normal market fares prevailing during the period currently. The apex fare, applicable for travel between December 16 and 24 2004, can be availed on tickets purchased by October 31, 2004, according to a report. The fare is currently available only on Trivandrum, Cochin, Calicut, Goa, Chennai, Delhi, Bangalore, Trichy, Coimbatore and Lucknow sectors. The tickets can be purchased from Indian Airlines offices or from any of its travel agents, said an airline spokesperson.
“Indian Airlines believes that the scheme will spur travel during the season, and will benefit passengers who plan ahead. The discount offered is substantial; for instance, a return ticket to Chennai is available for only Dh1,299 plus taxes while a return ticket to Delhi from Sharjah is available for only Dh999 plus taxes,” the report added.
