BAHRAIN will get two additional flights on Sunday and Wednesday as Cathay Pacific will extend the current Hong Kong-Dubai v.v. service to Bahrain.
This service, operated by an Airbus A330 aircraft features, Cathay Pacific’s unrivalled flat-bed First Class and a totally-adjustable Z-shaped new Business Class, ergonomically proven as the best for sleeping. “This will raise our Bahrain services from seven to nine per week, and offer even greater choice for discerning businessmen to travel in unparalleled comfort between Bahrain and Asia,” said Adrian Gane, Cathay Pacific’s regional manager for Middle East, India and Africa.
Effective December 1, the airline will add two more non-stops flights between Dubai and Hong Kong, bringing its services to 13 flights per week including its existing service through Mumbai and Bangkok. The two additional flights will depart Dubai at 6.55pm arriving Hong Kong the following morning at 6am. The return flight will leave after midnight arriving Dubai at 5.10am in time to resume the day’s work. Cathay Pacific’s country manager, UAE, Philip Herbert, said, “The addition of two more non-stops to Dubai offers yet another convenient choice for the business community to travel to Hong Kong and connect to China and the rest of Asia on our extensive network.”
Overall, including its thrice weekly service from Riyadh to Hong Kong, Cathay Pacific will operate a total of 25 flights per week between Hong Kong and the Middle East (Bahrain, Dubai and Riyadh). “We are looking very closely at expanding our operations to further points in this growing and dynamic part of the world which is becoming more competitive in terms of the range of products and choices offered,” added Gane.
