BOTTLED mineral water producer Masafi will sponsor Jordan’s premier event for the hospitality and food service trade show – the International Hospitality Forum (IHF 2004), set to take place from September 28 to 30 at Zara Expo Amman.
The event will also feature Jordan’s first-ever bartenders competition.
“We are proud to sponsor the International Hospitality Forum which will showcase our products to visitors from Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and the wider region,” said Tareq Hashlamoun, managing director of Hashlamoun Foodstuff Trading. The recent remarkable growth in Jordan’s hospitality industry has prompted Masafi to look at the Jordanian market. Earlier this year Masafi appointed Hashlamoun Foodstuff Trading Company to represent it in the Jordanian market.
IHF 2004 offers an innovative programme of events on wide-ranging and significant issues affecting all areas of the hospitality industry with an international trade show for the hospitality and foodservice industry in addition
to culinary and table setting competitions.
Over 40 Jordanian barmen are also expected at the event, organised in association with Johnnie Walker Red Label, Power Horse, Smirnoff vodka and De Kuyper liqueurs.
Each barman will prepare three cocktails that will be judged by an expert panel on taste, presentation and aroma in addition to efficiency of preparation, bartender character and appearance and timing.
