THE Arab World Travel and Tourism Exchange (AWTTE 2004), scheduled to take place at BIEL Centre in Beirut, from October 7 to 10 has registered participation from 17 national pavilions, including Cyprus, India and Malaysia, besides countries from the MENA region.
Eighty per cent of the exhibition space has already been booked. Additionally, several international hotels, airlines, tour operators, agents and trade-related companies have confirmed their participation. International and regional hotel chains and management companies set to participate include: Accor Hotels, Flamingo Hotels Management Co, InterContinental Hotels Group, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International, Safir, Rotana and Metropolitan Hotels.
Jordan has been named guest country with a national pavilion of 114-sq-m featuring special promotional opportunities. Beirut’s Metropolitan Palace Hotel is the Gold Host Hotel Sponsor, with special package deals for participants. A new contract has been signed with Dubai-based real estate TV station Iqaria Landsat as the Gold Media Sponsor.
