THE upmarket beachside Al Jazira Resort, situated on the very border of Dubai and Abu Dhabi and surrounded by royal palaces all around, has been extensively renovated and offers a variety of accommodation for both out-of-town tourists and getaway weekenders.
“We’re ready to hit the market for the season with several accommodation options for our guests, including chalets, bungalows or deluxe rooms,” general manager Haitham Murad told TTN. The resort offers contract rates for tourists and is open for in-country tourism as well, he added.
Guests can either stay within a central hotel block on an island in the middle of a channel or opt for a beachfront chalet or bungalow. Eighty newly-renovated, spacious rooms with either a pool view or a sea view and ensuite bathrooms in the main hotel complement 90 beachside units, that can be combined into two-, three- or four-bedroom options.
Once at Al Jazira – it’s about 40 minutes away from either city centre – there’s a lot to do. Apart from the standard facilities on offer at regular hotels around the region, Al Jazira has an endless list of watersports and more. Every Thursday there’s a beach party that’s ideal for birthdays and other celebrations or simply to sit back and relax at. Due to open is the hotel’s state-of-the-art diving centre, ready to take off as soon as its compression unit is ready in a couple of weeks. Besides the beach, the resort also offers two pools.
The hotel also has several dining and refreshment options with a cuisine that stretches to Arabic, European and other international delights. Choose from The Al Safina Coffee Shop, the Ocean Grill House, the Tea Lounge and the Dalma Restaurant, which complement two swim-up pool bars and an Arabic tent. On the Meetings and events front, the hotel is fully equipped for seminars, trainings, day outings, corporate parties and banquets.
