A RECENT agreement signed between two major companies will change the way Bahrain’s corporate guests conduct business.

The agreement was signed between Bahrain’s newest hotel, Movenpick Hotel Bahrain, and the Egypt-based Internet service provider, TheWayOut. The Wi-fi agreement makes the Movenpick Hotel Bahrain the first hotel in the Kingdom to offer wireless Internet and a Hi-Tech Business Package, which has several never-before value-added services for Bahrain’s business travellers.
The signing of this agreement has enabled Movenpick Hotel Bahrain to cater to the needs of the most demanding business guests or events. “The path-breaking tie-up between our two pioneering companies will mean that Bahrain’s corporate guests will now enjoy several exclusive, never-before benefits every time they stay at the Movenpick Hotel Bahrain,” said the hotel’s general manager Frank Reichenbach.
“Bahrain is the financial hub of the Gulf region,” added Tamer Sayed Ahmed, chairman of the board, TheWayOut Internet Solutions. “After capturing Egypt’s wide market, it was only natural for us to look at a growing economy like Bahrain. Business tourism is on the rise in Bahrain and it is gaining a reputation as the financial capital of this region. There were no doubt in our mind that the wireless Internet technology would be highly resourceful for a nation like Bahrain.”
Explaining the benefits of wireless Internet, Ahmed said, “Firstly, with the onset of wireless Internet, business can now be taken wherever one goes. Guests who want to use their laptop computers will be provided with cards to enable them to connect to the Internet anywhere in and around the hotel. This gives them the convenience of not being dependant on a dial-up modem or a data point connection for Internet use – be it the lobby, meeting rooms, restaurants or even by the swimming pool.”
Reichenbach informed that apart from the advantages of conducting business with the highly progressive wireless Internet facility, all business guests at the Movenpick Hotel will now have the choice of booking a Hi-Tech Business Package. “This Hi-Tech Business Package is every businessman’s dream come true,” he said. “The newly-introduced business package offers guests a complimentary laptop in each business room. What’s even more convenient is that every laptop comes with complimentary Internet usage, which means a guest who books under a business package can have free Internet access in his room until his stay lasts. The needs of each of the busy travellers are served by telephone, fax, and Internet connections in rooms with enough space to work efficiently. Along with wireless Internet, we also offer have video conferencing. The click of a button enables one to conduct meetings with another party or multiple parties right from the comforts of your meeting room.”
