AS entrants wait with anticipation for the results of the MENA Travel Awards taking place at the Al Bustan Rotana Hotel on May 6, the organisers have expressed their satisfaction with the voting response by the end user as well as appreciation for the efforts, integrity and innovation of the entrants in getting the votes.

“The final consolidation has been carried out through the especially-designed electronic programme system, which was audited, inspected and evaluated by PricewaterhouseCoopers,” said Sam Saker, regional vice-president of Renard Hospitality and president of
CHA (Consultants of Hospitality Administrators), the organisers of
the awards. “PricewaterhouseCoopers completed their audit on April 24, declaring the system of the voting up to standard and successful. They were satisfied with the smooth flow of the system and were happy to note that fairness and integrity has been maintained throughout.”
According to the organisers, all entrants have done well in general and the voting system has been well received by all participants. “Successful entrants in each of the categories will be acknowledged as finalists and will be considered one of the best in their category / industry sector. Adjudicators will then reveal the top three outright winners, Platinum, Gold and Silver, for each of the 17 categories, at the special Gala Dinner. “We are delighted to have received entries from many of the GCC countries including Egypt, Jordan Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Morocco, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the UAE and look forward to broadening the appeal of the event in successive years,” said Saker.
The prestigious MENA Travel Awards has been created to recognise outstanding organizations that embrace the philosophy and spirit of hospitality. Organisations chosen have made significant contributions to the travel, tourism and hospitality industry.
Over 400 guests will attend, including industry executives, their clients, and industry partners. The dinner and awards ceremony has been designed to be unique and fun, with lively entertainment providing an evening that is quite unlike typical awards presentations.
Limited dinner tickets are now on
sale and those wishing to join in this ‘Oscar style’ ceremony can purchase tickets through the website: www.menatravelawards.com or at the Renard International booth at ATM Dubai Stand.
