Top officials from the Gulf and leading players in international tourism were expected to attend the sixth Arabian Travel Market (ATM) Conference which was scheduled to be held in Muscat on April 28.
Oman was hosting the conference for the second time. The first conference was held in Oman in 1996.
The event at Al Bustan Palace Hotel was set to explore several issues relevant to the region's tourism sector.
The conference was held under the theme 'The Gulf - a single destination'.
It was sponsored by Foreign Affairs secretary-general Sayyid Haitham bin Tariq Al Said.
