Horeca, Lebanon’s largest trade event for the hospitality industry, was held last month in Beirut with participants upbeat over an upturn in tourism.
The event attracted national, international, private and public institutions, and was held against the backdrop of a resurgent tourim and construction sector, says Nada Sardouk, a senior offical at the Lebanese ministry of tourism.
‘‘Lebanon in general and Beirut specifically has been witnessing a vast hotel development field as a result of local, regional and international investment as well as a surge in Arab and international tourists,’’ he said.
