Traders Hotel Dubai, a Shangri-La Hotel, is set to open in April, and is the result of a management agreement between Shangri-La International Hotels & Resorts and Oman-based Zubair Corporation.
The opening of Traders Hotel Dubai follows quickly on the heels of the opening of the Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai and is the first Traders Hotel in the Middle East region.
Operating under the same philosophies and management structure as Shangri-La hotels, the Traders brand caters toward a specific mid-market niche that complements Shangri-La’s deluxe properties in key city centres, such as Dubai. “Our main market is business travellers and the meetings segment. However during key Dubai events, such as Dubai Summer Surprises, we also expect to attract a share of the leisure market,” says general manager, Wolf Flecker.
Located in the bustling business and commercial district of Deira, the Traders Hotel, Dubai, designed by Badri & Bensouda consists of 250 beautifully appointed rooms and suites, food and beverage outlets, extensive meeting facilities and much more.
The lobby, with its warm and inviting ambience is expected to form the soul of the hotel. Featuring The Junction (a trendy 24-hour restaurant), Chameleon (a bar which provides entertainment every night) and the Lobby Lounge, the hotel’s lobby provides the ideal place to meet, trade or just socialise.
The finishing touches to the hotel are currently in progress. Guests can expect to see an interior which reflects contemporary minimalist style utilising exquisite furnishings, fixtures and design elements. All of the guest rooms feature broadband Internet access, IDD telephone with voice mail, electronic in-room locker, private mini-bar, iron/ironing board, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.
Recreational facilities include gymnasium, sauna/steam rooms, Jacuzzi, indoor swimming pool, juice bar and massage rooms. Other services which will be available include complimentary entrance and shuttle transfer to a beach park, same day laundry/valet services, complimentary airport pick-up and cross-signing facilities at Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai providing an extended selection of dining options.
For discerning travellers who appreciate a higher standard of service and facilities, the Traders Club executive floors will offer a range of exclusive privileges including the use of a private lounge, express check-in and check-out services, complimentary breakfast and purser services.
Flecker comments, “We have just entered the final phase of the pre-opening plan. Traders Hotel Dubai will offer a vibrant and affordable hotel solution for savvy business travellers.”
