Thalassotherapy pool at the Ritz Bahrain

Leisure facilities found in Ritz-Carlton hotels in the Middle East, combined with the service and ambience of The Ritz-Carlton Spa, are comparable to the finest in the world.

As the evolution of spas continues to explode, a synopsis of the myriad of treatments offered by the different Ritz-Carlton Spa is required for the spa aficionado.
Doha: The Spa at The Ritz-Carlton, Doha was the first to be established in Qatar.
Situated in one of the vast circular podiums at the base of the hotel, floor to ceiling windows overlook the turquoise blue water of the Arabian Gulf. The tranquil and soothing setting enlivens the senses and instills well-being; a light and refreshing ambience is created by cool lavender ceilings combined with rich Italian marbles and mosaic tiles. Seven treatment rooms provide privacy and seclusion, with a menu of services that range from fragrant and relaxing oriental massages to the health enhancing benefits of hydrotherapy.
Bahrain: Exclusively for ladies, The Spa offers a multitude of treatments.  These range from Hot Stone therapy - a native American practice utilising volcanic stones to help relieve muscle tension, open energy channels and revitalise the body - to the luxurious La Prairie Caviar Firming Treatment for face and body using caviar pearls and a two phase caviar mask.
The Royal Spa dedicates a major part of its focus to the rejuvenating qualities of water. The Thalasso Multi-jet Pool is the first of its kind in the Gulf. Thalasso means “sea” in Greek and the healing powers of the sea are legendary. Sink into a healing combination of salts and minerals and allow the underwater jets to gently massage selected parts of the body, increasing circulation and easing away muscular aches and pains, thus leaving you feeling totally invigorated.
Dubai: The decor of the Spa reflects a Balinese influence, with much of the furniture and artwork coming from the island.  Soothing colours of ivory, cream and pale yellow contrast with the natural wooden floors.   With these earth tones in mind, exclusive batik designs were commissioned from Bali, which are used for the spa’s sarongs, robes and body wraps and incorporated into the Balinese style uniforms of the staff.  The Balinese theme is also evident in many of the treatments and therapies that are available.  These include the Balinese Boreh massage, Nirwana Herbal Body Wrap and an Indonesian cream bath. Highly skilled male and female masseuses from Bali carry out these techniques.
Istanbul: The first in the city to offer guests private spa services in an ornate and authentic re-creation of the centuries old Turkish “hamam.”
The “sense of place” is created by the traditional elements of an ancient Turkish “hamam,” modeled after the Baths of Roxelena, which opened in the 1500s near the city’s landmark Blue Mosque. Featuring a domed steam room and massage platform, the “hamam” is for the exclusive use of just a single guest at a time. The Ritz-Carlton is the only hotel in the city offering this extra measure of privacy.  Ornate and authentic in its design, the Islamic version of a spa is richly accented with centuries-old tiles collected by the interior designer from throughout Turkey. In addition to the “hamam,”.
Sharm El Sheikh: The ultimate in relaxation can be experienced at the Egyptian resort’s spa, the first in Egypt, with a menu of customized beauty treatments.
Situated on the secluded Om El Seed Cliff.  An Arabian massage tent provides a menu of spa services including therapeutic massages to coincide with the dramatic rising of the sun over the Red Sea. Body treatment products used in the spa contain many of the same elements as those first used during the era of the Pharaohs.
The Cleopatra’s Indulgence package revives the legend of Cleopatra’s haven. A combination of aromatic oil masks and scrubs, together with a warming Body Glow treatment leaves the skin silky smooth.
