Sheraton Doha Hotel & Resort has announced the return of Gerhard Foltin as general manager.
Gerhard first came to Doha in 1977 to manage the Doha Club. He then moved to Sheraton Doha as it's opening general manager, with full involvement in the planning and design stages. As there was a delay with the construction of the hotel, in 1979 Gerhard was transferred to Saudi Arabia for the opening of the first Sheraton Hotel there - the 650 rooms Sheraton Jeddah. After two years, he came back to Qatar and re-established his active involvement with opening of the famous pyramid-shaped building.
