Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, chairman of Dnata Group, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, chairman of Royal Jet, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Dubai Airshow 2003.
This MoU appoints Dnata as Royal Jet’s general sales agent in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
Royal Jet started operations in May 2003 with a 42-seat Boeing Business Jet, the modern, ultra-luxurious version of the Boeing 737-700. In August 2003, Royal Jet became the launch customer of the Gulf G300 aircraft, the latest version of the popular G1V.
In August and September 2003, the first two G300s were introduced. Royal Jet has already started to win awards for its luxury operations and has also launched Royal Med, its medical evacuation operation.
