Cyprus Airways launches new fares for Colombo

Cyprus Airways, which began its twice-weekly, non-stop Dubai-Colombo service on November 19, launched an introductory fare for its first service to an Indian Sub-continent destination.

Until April 30 next year, the economy return Dubai-Colombo fare will be Dh1,150.
“This is in line with our policy of providing the best possible service to passengers at affordable prices,” said C K Hussain, Gulf sales manager, Cyprus Airways.

The Cypriot national flag carrier flies to Colombo, operating from Dubai, every Wednesday and Saturday with an Airbus A320 aircraft.

Flight CY396 departs Dubai International Airport at 1.15am every Wednesday, arriving in the Sri Lanka capital at 7.45am local time. On Saturdays, flight CY 396 departs Dubai at 13.15pm and arrives at Bandaranaike International at 19.45pm local time.

The flights originate in Larnaca and stop in Dubai on both legs of the journey, which means Cyprus Airways now operates four return Dubai-Larnaca flights a week.

The initiative represents a major expansion of Cyprus Airways’ Middle East schedule.
The airline recently appointed GSA Allied Lanka Travels, part of Sri Lanka’s giant Green Lanka Group, to provide a wide range of support for its Colombo service.
