National Car Rental has expanded into the Middle East with new locations in UAE and Kuwait.
The opening of these locations demonstrates National’s ongoing commitment to the Middle East, as it continues to build a strong network of branches throughout the region.
In an exclusive agreement with the Al Tayer Group, National has opened dual branded locations in Dubai International Airport, the Safir Hotel and on Sheikh Zayed Road.
Al Tayer Group is already established in the region as the importer and distributor of manufacturers including Ford, Land Rover and Maserati. The franchisee therefore has the local market knowledge and expertise to provide the high level of service travellers expect from the National brand.
Recognising the enormous potential of Kuwait as a major contributor to the redevelopment of Iraq, National opened two new locations based at Kuwait International Airport and in the centre of the city, near the Sheraton Hotel. Travellers to Kuwait now have access to services including short-term rental, lease and chauffeur drive.
The fleet comprises everything from hatchbacks to a range or 4x4s and light commercial vehicles. The two sites will be operated by franchise holder Kuwait & Gulf Link Transport Company, one of the largest fleet and equipment operators in the Middle East.
Neil Summerville, vice-president of franchising comments “We currently provide daily rental services in Kuwait to the British Army, the US Government and a number of corporate customers such as Boeing Aircraft and Kent Engineering. These locations will allow us to continue to develop our services to meet the changing demands of visitors to Kuwait.”
“With the growing number of tourists, business travellers and new expatriates coming to the Middle East, this is an ideal opportunity to expand in this growing market. We already have plans for further expansion to the northern and southern Emirates later this year.”
