Four Seasons rings changes

The Toronto-headquartered Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts have announced a series of management arrivals and changes within their Middle East operation.

Olivier Masson has been appointed general manager of Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza, which is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2004.

Swiss born Masson who, prior to his new appointment was general manager of The Regent Jakarta, a Four Seasons Hotel, has significant experience in hotel openings. With degrees in both Electrical Engineering from Switzerland and in Hospitality Management from Florida, Masson’s hotel career has taken him from the South Americas and USA to the Far East.

Cesare Rouchdy regional director of marketing, Middle East has added the new 374-room Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza to his portfolio of responsibilities and will be part of the pre-opening team.

Marcos Bekhit, regional vice-president Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts welcomed Masson to Cairo at a reception held at Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at the First Residence in early October.

Meanwhile, Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence has announced the appointment of Scott Lundahl as hotel manager. 

Further moves in Egypt for Four Seasons saw Patrick Ghielmetti, the pre-opening general manager of Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh, assume the position of general manager of the Regent Chiang Mai Resort and Spa in Thailand, a Four Seasons property.
He is succeeded by Dieter Janssen who has been with Four Seasons since 1997, his most recent position being general manager of The Regent Singapore, a Four Seasons Hotel.
