Kempinski to open hotel in Bangkok
December 2003 4

Kempinski Hotels & Resorts has signed a management contract for a deluxe five star hotel in Bangkok, establishing the group’s operational presence in Thailand.

Kempinski, Europe’s oldest hotel group, was founded in Germany in 1857 and is today owned by the Crown Property Bureau of Thailand.

The Siam Kempinski Hotel is scheduled to open in December 2006.  Contemporary Thai design and local handicrafts will complement the outstanding water features and landscape gardens to create a city resort, targeting corporate as well as the five-star leisure market.
With a prime location in Sukhumvit, the central business district and on the famous former site of the Siam Intercontinental, the new hotel will have in excess of 300 rooms (all over 45 sq m) including suites and garden cabanas.

All rooms will have walk-in dressing rooms, double-basin bathrooms, large working desks and the highest levels of comfort and in-room technology.

There will be numerous fashionable restaurants and bars, some with adjacent private dining rooms, a state-of-the-art conference facilities and ballroom and an extensive wellness centre with open air massage rooms.

In addition, the complex will include serviced apartments with private roof-top swimming pool and will be linked to a luxury shopping development.

Kempinski’s prestigious portfolio comprises luxurious properties in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, South America and Asia.

Each offers superior standards of service combined with a distinctive style reflecting the individuality of the property and its location.
