Chefs cook for a cause

Hassanien Mahmoud of the the Semiramis InterContinental Cairo provided the Middle East ingredients when 160 of the world’s top chefs from 33 countries recently visited South Africa to get involved in the Tiger Brands World Cooks Tour for Hunger.

Raising a total of $275,000 for worthy causes such as the African Feeding Scheme and the Heartbeat Foundation, the chefs ran a series of demonstrations and culinary events.
