“Scheduled for its February opening, Barceló Hotel Group will be launching a brand-new chic property in the Al Jaddaf district of Dubai – Occidental Al Jaddaf, which infuses Spanish hospitality and Arabic culture, perfectly encapsulating the beauty and charm of both cultures.”

The Occidental properties have undertaken an impressive commitment to decrease their environmental impact and increase the sustainability of the services they offer.

Occidental Al Jaddaf has been designed to utilise solar panels to operate water heaters for energy conservation and will place low flow devices in public bathrooms and showers to reduce water consumption.

In perhaps more exciting news, Barcelo Hotel Group entered into an exclusive partnership with the Spanish Football League organization – LaLiga Santander, to develop a truly unique and entertaining experience for football fans.

“Football is one of the most watched sports in the Middle East and Spanish football with its ‘Tiki Taka’ style of play is extremely popular in the UAE. Football clubs such as Barcelona and Real Madrid have an enormous fan base in the Middle East and fans are eager to watch their favourite teams play at any time during the day or night.

“At Barceló Hotel Group, we were seeking innovative avenues to creatively improve the footballing experience for Middle East fans. In September 2020, we entered into an exclusive partnership with the Spanish Football League organization – LaLiga Santander, to develop a truly unique and entertaining experience for football fans.

“Barceló Hotel Group partnered with LaLiga to develop an innovative sports bar called the LaLiga TwentyNine’s. The first-of-its-kind sports bar in the Middle East combines gastronomy, leisure, technology and sports offering fans and sports lovers an exceptional culinary and viewing experience.”
