Middle East hotel operator Rotana has just completed a $68 million expansion project at the five-star Beach Rotana Hotel and Towers to create a new conference and meeting centre, together with luxury accommodation, and new restaurants.
Since its opening in 1993 “the Beach Hotel” has been popular with both business and vacationing guests, enjoying near 80 per cent occupancy year round. Due to increasing emphasis on the UAE as both a leisure and business destination, Rotana found a gap in the Abu Dhabi Market for bigger and better facilities and undertook the $68 million project of the Abu Dhabi’s Beach Rotana Hotel & Towers.
Omer Kaddouri, general manager of the Beach Rotana Hotel & Towers says, “Every room features online connectivity, communications and internet, complimented by exclusive guests amenities. We understood our guest mix and took their needs in to consideration early on in the planning.”
The Beach Rotana Hotel & Towers, home to the prestigious Abu Dhabi Trade Center complex which started its expansion in 1998 now features 558 sea-facing rooms, Executive, Royal and Presidential Suites, 10 world-class food and beverage venues, Beach Club and banquet and conference facilities.
The Tower wing is linked to the existing Beach Wing by a double-storey glass-domed lobby and reception area. With bright open views out to the newly landscaped garden and beach area, the Lobby leads on to 10 international food and beverage venues: Trader Vic’s, Prego’s, Rodeo Grill, Benihana, Rosebuds, Café Columbia; The L.A.B., Bay View, The Café at the Suites and finally Finz which is opening in mid-2004.
The opposite side of the Beach wing is home to the Al Thuraya Ballroom which boasts 1250 sq m of space and dazzles with its state-of-the-art facilities and decor. This Ballroom can be easily divided into three sections and can accommodate up to 1500 persons. Featuring excellent acoustics and an intricate lighting system, the ballroom is an ideal venue for all functions.
The Beach Rotana Hotel & Towers is directly linked by a passageway to the over one million sq ft Abu Dhabi Mall.
Yet another appealing aspect of the Beach Rotana Hotel and Towers is the Beach Rotana Suites. Consisting of 19 studios, 104 one-bedroom apartments, 14 two-bedroom apartments and six three-bedroom apartments, the Suites Tower has its underground parking, storage facilities in the basement, 24-hour room service and a lobby lounge café.
