Gulf Air has landed a global coup, as main sponsor and official carrier for the Bahrain Formula One Grand Prix.
It will now be called the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, under a three-year deal that gives the airline worldwide exposure.
An expected 100,000 spectators in Bahrain and more than 350 million television viewers from around the world will see the three-day event, which culminates in the Grand Prix on April 4.
Gulf Air’s sponsorship will thrust the airline’s name into homes around the world, said president and chief executive James Hogan.
‘With the millions of people watching this event, I hardly need to tell you that this is more coverage than the average company can achieve in any other sponsorship campaign,’ he said.
