Star Alliance still leads the pack according to the majority of over 38,000 customers surveyed last month by travel research firm Skytrax.
The Skytrax Airline Alliance Survey showed clearly that the Star Alliance network is by far the preferred airline alliance having received 54 per cent of customer nominations.
Oneworld finished second with 20 per cent and SkyTeam finished third with 19 per cent. Customers polled were frequent travellers largely travelling on business. The sample included members from more than 50 countries, and over 60 different nationalities were represented.
Skytrax will also be conducting a passenger survey for Best Airline of The Year.
