The government of Nepal has announced a new policy of waiving the visa fee for any tourist visiting the country for a period of three days.
Similarly, tourists coming from SAARC countries namely India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Bhutan, Maldives as well as neighbouring China will also get a free visa to Nepal.
Arrangements have also been made to provide free visas for any national for re-entry to Nepal provided those tourists have stayed for at least 15 days and more in the country in a visas year (January-December).
The new visa regulation came into effect from August 6.
The new arrangement has been made in order to revive the ailing tourism industry due to various internal and international reasons.
