Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority has bestowed its prestigious five stars’ rating, once more on Le Méridien Abu Dhabi, after completing its massive renovation.
One of Abu Dhabi’s original urban resorts and iconic landmark dating 40 years, Le Méridien Abu Dhabi has regained its five stars’ ratings. The hotel was inaugurated in 1979 by the Father of the Nation, His Highness Late Sheikh Zayed, and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and has been since visited by over 15 heads of states and international dignitaries.
Abu Dhabi National Hotels, which owns the property, has completed a comprehensive renovation, which included an extensive transformation to all 248 guestrooms, suites and public spaces. The hotel’s restoration embraced the culture and vivacity behind Le Méridien brand while providing its sophisticated and self-assured guests with the highest degree of luxury service and accommodations. Designed to embody a sleek and modern sentiment, all guestrooms and bathrooms channel the energetic vibe of Le Méridien brand through a thoughtfully selected and calming colour palette.
“As a leading hospitality company, our strategy has always been to restore and modernise our existing hotels and I am pleased to see the outcome of the comprehensive renovation of Le Méridien Abu Dhabi” says Khalid Anib, chief executive officer of Abu Dhabi National Hotels. “We are satisfied with nothing less than excellence throughout our growing hotel portfolio, and I am grateful to the board of directors of Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) for all their support in making these projects a reality.”
