Gulf Air appointed Danny Barranger to head up a restructured world-wide sales team at the company.
Gulf Air marketing and sales vice-president John Butler said their skills will be fundamental to their sales and marketing objectives. “Barranger’s first task is to review our sales operations world-wide with a view to maximising revenue and growth opportunities,” he said.
GCC and Middle East regional manager Ali Murtada takes on the position as RGM for the growing market in Asia Pacific.
He will oversee Gulf Air’s sales activities in the Indian subcontinent, Philippines, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.
Gulf Air UAE general manager Mahfood Al Harthy has been promoted to RGM for the new region - including Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Oman and Qatar. The airlin’s general manager for Bahrain, Abdulmalik Al Saei is also promoted to RGM with responsibility for the Middle East.
As result of this change, marketing director Abdulhussain Qanati has been promoted to replace Al Saie as Bahrain general manager.
