Close to half a million people crossed the King Fahad Causeway, travelling between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, during the five-day Eid Al-Fitr holiday period, said a report.
The total number of passengers who crossed the King Fahd Causeway during Eid rose 3.2 per cent to stand at 488,719, compared with the same period last year, said a report in BNA.
A total of 245,143 crossed the causeway on the fourth and fifth days of Eid, the highest number of passengers over two days since the bridge was opened in 1986, the report said, citing statistics released by the Saudi Customs.
