PADI course at Jumeirah hotel

The Pavilion Dive Centre, at The Jumeirah Beach Hotel, recently became the only Dive Centre in Dubai that can conduct the PADI Instructor Development Course.

Phil O'Shea, the Dive Centre manager, successfully completed The PADI Course Director Training Program in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, which makes him the only active course director in Dubai. As a result the Dive Centre can now offer instructor training year round, with two Instructor Examinations in May and October.

The Dive Centre offers a wide variety of scuba courses: Discover Scuba introduces the basics of diving in a controlled environment. The popular PADI Open Water Course starts one off on the certification trail, followed by Adventures in Diving, which opens the door to a wide variety of specialist diver training and continuous diver education. This includes Deep Diving, Wreck Diving, Emergency First Response, Rescue Diver and Divemaster courses.

For those who need to reacquaint themselves with the underwater world, a Scuba Review course is available. Young children between eight and 10 years of age can start diving through the unique and dedicated Bubble maker and PADI Seal Team programmes.

The Arabian Gulf is home to several wrecks, some steeped in fascinating history. The Pavilion Dive Centre arranges excursions to all the popular dive sites on a daily basis.

The exotic surroundings of The Jumeirah Beach Hotel, coupled with The Pavilion Dive Centre's new status, confirms it as the premier Dive Centre in Dubai, the centre added.
