The Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi opens today

A sold-out stadium full of spectators and millions of viewers worldwide are set to celebrate the official start of The Special Olympics World Games, which will take place at Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on March 14 from 5 pm.

A sold-out stadium full of spectators and millions of viewers worldwide are set to celebrate the official start of The Special Olympics World Games, which will take place at Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on March 14 from 5 pm.

Spectators will witness Some 7,500 athletes from 200 countries take part in a parade at a Special Olympics Opening Ceremony as each athlete prepares to showcase their sporting talent on a global stage.

The athletes will be accompanied by a number of international celebrities and sporting heroes who are passionate about driving the Special Olympics movement forward.

A stellar line-up of world-renowned musicians has been revealed for the Opening Ceremony of Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019 which include Avril Lavigne, Paul Oakenfold And Hussain Al Jassmi amongst others.
