Cleartrip has announced the launch of a new online visa application service on its website for the UAE.

As part of the launch of the service, travellers can apply for tourist visas to the UAE together with a ‘money back guarantee’ in the event of the rejection of an application, a first-of-its-kind offer in the country.

To encourage travellers to take advantage of the new service, Cleartrip will offer discounts on air tickets with every visa application. Travellers who apply for 30-day or 90-day visas will receive a discount on their airfare of up to 100 per cent of their visa costs.

With the new service, Cleartrip customers can look forward to receiving their visas at the push of a button after submitting their visa application on www.cleartrip.ae. Once processed, the visa will be delivered to the applicant via email, eliminating the need for travellers to visit a physical visa-processing centre.

Commenting on the launch, Sameer Bagul, executive vice president and  managing director, Cleartrip Middle East, said: “Making the travel experience even more convenient for our customers continues to be a top priority for Cleartrip. With our new online visa application service that displaces the tedious, manual process of applying for a visa, we have elevated our booking platform to offer a one-stop-shop that caters to every need of our customers and provide them with the convenience of a hassle-free travel booking experience. By launching this feature for travellers from India and the Philippines, the leading source markets for the UAE’s travel and tourism sector, we are seeking to encourage more and more users to take advantage of the benefits online visa application provides. The introduction of this service also complements the UAE’s ongoing efforts and initiatives to ease the process and procedures of inbound travel.”
