Oman is working on a new online initiative which will allow travellers to the sultanate to obtain visas via a mobile app, a report said.
The initiative is part of ROP’s efforts to improve its online services, it said.
“Very soon we will have customs services in the mobile applications, and we will have visa services, visa status and all these kinds of things,” the report cited Captain Ibrahim Saif Al Kindi, team leader of the smart application services at the ROP’s IT department, as saying.
Currently, travellers visiting Oman can either apply online via the ROP website or obtain a visa on arrival.
