The InterContinental Hotel Muscat has major plans aimed at becoming the best hotel in town and to provide excellent services based on client needs, says the advertising and promotions manager Baida Al Sikaiti.
"Plans are being chalked out to this effect with our rebranding as a resort hotel within the city as the first step. We have also opened leisure facilities including a health club, a pool and 35 acres of landscaped gardens," added Sikaiti.
This beachside hotel offers a host of other leisure options including mountain and dune safaris, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, plunge pool, gym and aerobics studio. Located in the commercial district of the city, there is an eclectic mix of dining including the in-house English pub, Mexican restaurant and Mediterranean grill..
Guest rooms include 265 rooms including 15 suites, 22 connecting rooms and 45 non-smoking rooms while facilities include complimentary access to its Palm Beach Club. Deluxe suites boast audio equipment including CD, VCR and in room fax.
The hotel also includes a sportswear shop, volleyball court, football pitch, cricket pitch, billiard room, six tennis courts, two artificial grass courts, four hard courts, one tennis wall and two squash courts and a range of watersports including windsurfing, diving and sailing.
