More than 2.4 million pilgrims passed through King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) in Jeddah since the beginning of the Umrah season, which started in November 2017 and will continue until July, a report said.
Passenger arrivals totalled 1.23 million pilgrims and departures totalled 1.21 million, said a report in Saudi Gazette citing said Abdullah bin Mosaad Al-Raimi, director general of King Abdulaziz International Airport.
"The Umrah season has kick started with a significant jump in pilgrim arrivals and we expect the arrival numbers to continue upward in the coming months as well," said Al-Raimi.
