Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort, a luxury property in Oman, won global winner in the ‘Luxury New Hotel’ category, and country winner in the ‘Luxury Mountain Resort’ category, in the World Luxury Travel Awards that took place in December 2017.

The awards recognise luxury hotels for their world-class facilities and excellence in customer service, making it a fantastic recognition for the Oman-based resort, which recently celebrated its one-year anniversary.

Darren Darwin, general manager of Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort said: “We are extremely proud to win not one, but two awards that recognise the resort’s luxurious amenities, outstanding attention to detail and a wide choice of unique local adventures. The resort has had an extremely successful first year of operation, with an impressive collection of awards to its name to date. These awards are a huge testament to the incredible team we have here and firmly places Oman on the map as a luxury destination.”

The World Luxury Hotel Awards are voted for by the public and are awarded to luxury hotels or hospitality groups across 50 different categories, presented on a regional, continental, global and country basis, with one hotel receiving the overall global accolade.

Perched 2,000 metres above sea level on the curving rim of a great canyon, Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort is the highest luxury resort in the Middle East and amongst the highest in the world, providing a luxurious base from which to explore the surrounding landscape. The resort also offers a wide range of activities and excursions in the surrounding region, from rock climbing and abseiling, to Omani cookery lessons and tours of nearby heritage sites. - TradeArabia News Service
