Outlook for 2018

2018 brings with it the opportunity for Hyatt to move a step closer to our overarching goal – to be the most preferred hospitality brand amongst guests, colleagues, community members and shareholders alike. The year shall see the corporation and its subsidiaries opening six new properties in the Middle Eastern region. In the UAE, we will see Grand Hyatt enter the capital in Abu Dhabi, a new Hyatt Place Dubai/Wasl District and the region’s first Centric property – Hyatt Centric Palm Dubai. In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - Hyatt Place Riyadh Sulaimania and Hyatt House Jeddah/Sari Street, and in Jordan - Hyatt Regency Aqaba Ayla.

The hospitality industry in the Middle East stands to benefit from a number of factors in the foreseeable future, such as a shift in demographic and social structuring, as well as the accelerating urbanisation of the region. Recognising these circumstances and strategising to benefit from them, has paved the way for the new properties, and we look forward to further developments, innovation and growth in the years to come.
