Dusit Dubai actively participated in the Can Collection Drive organised by the Emirates Environment Group (EEG).
"The EEG has tenaciously pursued waste management and recycling programmes for many years and it is indeed our honour to be a part of these programmes and support their drive in keeping Dubai City Clean and Green," said Michael Tiplady, general manager, Dusit Dubai. All the staff of Dusit Dubai were enthusiastic about this drive and went out of their way in collecting cans both at home and at work to make this project a real success. Habiba Al Marashi, chairperson, EEG, visited Dusit Dubai and explained to the staff members the benefits of waste collection for recycling. Dusit Dubai is an active corporate member and a strong supporter of EEG. The Hotel has seriously committed to proper collection methods for waste material and the recycling process. The Can Collection Drive has been ongoing since September 2002 and culminated on May 29 at the Dubai Creek Park.
