Al Bait, Sharjah ... designed to be a cultural landmark

Scheduled for completion in 2018, Al Bait, Sharjah is set to define heritage living in the UAE’s cultural hub, while taking a leading role in showcasing the region’s rich cultural identity.

The luxury five-star hotel project is designed to be a prestigious hospitality and cultural landmark, being prominently located in ‘Heart of Sharjah’ – the region's largest heritage project.

Dedicated to the highest standards of hospitality, Al Bait will be a sanctuary where the traditional and contemporary meet. In partnership with Shurooq (the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority) and managed by GHM Hotels, the heritage resort will feature elegant designs interpreted with respect for the local culture, its rich history and unique surroundings.

Situated just 10 minutes from the Sharjah International Airport, Al Bait, meaning ‘The House’, will be a 10,000-sq-m area, with 53 luxury guestrooms and suites, hotel facilities and amenities, coexisting harmoniously with the several heritage buildings in the district. Of the heritage buildings that are part of this conservation project, five heritage homes once owned by Emirati families have had a significant impact on Sharjah’s history and will remain an important part of its legacy.

Set within an ambience to reflect what Sharjah was like over half a century ago, every room, whether restored or recreated, is intricately designed to weave the city’s modern life with its storied past. With history literally at your doorstop, the accommodation features eight different room categories designed to suit the varying tastes and requirements of the discerning traveller. All rooms exude the undeniable feeling of warm Arabian hospitality and luxurious Emirati living.

Taking the culinary landscape of Sharjah to another level, Al Bait will showcase a full variety of authentic Emirati cuisine, along with international fare, at the resort’s four outlets. The Restaurant is the all-day dining venue offering cuisine from all around the world as a varied combination of a la carte, buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. Light colours create a welcoming ambience that also includes a terrace for al fresco dining.

The Arabic Restaurant, Al Bait’s resort’s authentic Emirati venue, will invite you to a culinary journey of Arabic specialties reflecting a great culinary heritage and rich flavours such as saffron, cardamom, turmeric and thyme all come together at the restaurant.

The Spa at Al Bait opens the door to an intimate world dedicated to the restoration of strength, beauty and balance of the body, mind and soul following ancient healing traditions of the East.
