InterContinental Hotels Group has marked the first anniversary of its Middle East Central Reservations Office by introducing toll-free phone links in Lebanon and Oman for instant bookings at its hotels and resorts across the world.
By calling the newly-introduced toll-free numbers in Lebanon and Oman, travel agents, as well as business and leisure travellers, make direct contact with the reservations office in Dubai.
In Lebanon, callers should dial the toll free number, O1426-801, and ask the AT&T operator to connect them to 866 866 7556. In Oman, callers simply dial 800 777 999 toll free to connect to the reservations office. Bilingual reservations agents are available seven days a week to quickly confirm bookings at more than 3,300 InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Staybridge Suites and Forum hotels worldwide.
The company officially opened the reservations office during ATM 2002, and the immediate response from travel agents and members of the public far surpassed expectations, with an average of 16,000 callers using the new reservations hub over the first few months. "We started off with toll-free lines in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and added toll-free lines in Egypt and Jordan in response to demand," said Chris Moloney, newly-appointed by InterContinental Hotels Group as Chief Operating Officer, Middle East and Africa.
